Chief Operating Officer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the operational capabilities of the organisation as a mobility provider. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide support and coaching to employees to deliver projects. You will also be a keen and active contributor to this rapidly growing start-up.

COO Responsibilities

  • Provide management to staff and leadership to the organisation that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
  • Assist other executive team members in creating, growing, and building a world-class, industry-leading organisation.
  • Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the CFO, CEO, and other key executive team members.
  • Partner with the CFO to achieve financial results.
  • Deliver solutions to drive key change and transformation initiatives to optimise operational excellence, margin improvement and ultimately the RentalMatics Client experience.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement business platforms (technology and operations) to accommodate business objectives.

Required Education and Experience

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of executive-level operational experience.
  • Business Development leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of Mobility Software and/or car rental sector an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Develop best practices across all projects and operations, building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership/mentorship/guidance to support teams.
  • Develop project management systems and procedures.
  • Oversee and monitor all project activities and performance.
  • Provide project progress reports for the executive leadership team.
  • Align with the Executive Leadership team to develop investments, budgets, planning, M&A, growth strategies etc.
